Atos Origin inks IT contract extension with LV=

To support its policy administration and renewals processes and on-line applications

By CBR Staff Writer

IT services firm Atos Origin has signed a four-year contract extension with LV=, an investment and insurance group, under which it will continue to provide IT services to support LV=’s policy administration and renewals processes and on-line applications. The new deal extends a contract signed in 2008.

Atos Origin said that it has played a vital role in supporting LV=’s business growth, since its appointment in 2008, by providing IT services for LV= to launch new products, use additional distribution channels such as nationwide and increase sales through aggregators such as moneysupermarket.com and comparethemarket.com.

Atos Origin is delivering IT services and is providing mainframe and midrange hosting services for LV= from its new data centres that use smart cooling technologies to minimise the impact of IT on the environment.

Richard Rowney, group chief operating officer at LV=, said: “Atos Origin has delivered an excellent service since 2008 to support the growth and transformation of our business. For this new deal, Atos Origin presented a competitively priced solution that will meet our business needs as we further strengthen our organisation while continuing to help our customers protect the things they love.”
