Atos Origin acquires KPMG Consulting UK and The Netherlands

Atos Origin, the European information technology services provider, has announced that it is to acquire KPMG Consulting in the UK and The Netherlands. The deal will create a combined organization with around 30,000 employees, operating in over 30 countries around the world. The financial details of the agreement have not been disclosed.

The acquisition will enable Atos Origin to provide consultancy services. The agreement will also increase the company’s size in the UK market. Following the conclusion of the deal, Atos Origin will provide consultancy, systems integration and managed services, as well as processing services for online systems.

The deal will officially be completed after partner, shareholder and regulatory approval is received.
