As part of the deal, Paris, France-based Atos Origin will get a five-year contract with KPN to develop order-management and front-office systems. Some 270 staff will join Atos Origin from Contrado, which made revenue of 25m euros ($32.5m) in its last full financial year.
Atos Origin is already the largest supplier of IT services to KPN, with existing contracts to run the operator’s data centers (worth $970m over six years), manage some 25,000 workstations ($320m over six years), and applications development (estimated at $470m over six years).
