San Jose, California-based Atmel Corp says that turnover for the second fiscal quarter is expected to be between $30m and $32m, compared with $14.8m reported for the same quarter a year ago and the $33.9m reported for last quarter; earnings per share are expected to be in the range of 18 cents to 19 cents, compared with 3 cents per share for the like quarter a year ago and 18 cents last quarter.
