ATMEL BUYS CHESAPEAKE DESIGN CENTER OF WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC CORP

Atmel Corp, which bought Honeywell Inc’s chip operations, has now bought the Chesapeake Design Center of Westinghouse Electric Corp on undisclosed terms: the Chesapeake group designs Application Specific Integrated Circuits for use by commercial, industrial and military system manufacturers.
