The European Commission is now satisfied that all its conditions have been satisfied, and has approved both the Atlas combination of France Telecom and Deutsche Telekom AG, and the Global One partnership that aligns Atlas with Sprint Corp. However neither venture can begin offering services until France and Germany have issued the first two licenses to operators of alternative networks, and France Telecom also has to sell its Info AG German data services subsidiary.
