ATLANTIC’s HAMILTON RENTALS DIVERSIFIES WITH SUN MICROSYSTEMS EQUIPMENT

By CBR Staff Writer

Hamilton Rentals Ltd, acquired last year by Atlantic Computer Group Plc, is diversifying into the workstation market via an agreement with Sun Microsystems Inc under which Hamilton will handle the full range of Sun workstations and server products throughout the UK. A range of finance options will be offered for the products, including an option rent plan which allows the customer exchange computer hardware at pre-determined intervals. Hamilton will concentrate on leasing and rentals, while Sun’s own team will continue to look after direct sales in the UK. Hamilton Rentals has offices in Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh and Aberdeen; managing director Bill Tadden, said that the company expects turnover to grow 50% to UKP30m in 1988.
