Nokia will supply Atlantic with Nokia D50e Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexers (DSLAM), network terminals, Nokia Loopmaster and other components of the end-to-end Nokia Broadband IP Access solution.

The agreement also includes a wide range of services such as system integration and roll-out services. In addition Nokia will supply software maintenance, emergency support, operations support, on site support, first and second line maintenance and the subscriber management system.

We are delighted to work with Atlantic, a major player in the European telecommunications market, says Mikael von Hertzen, General Manager Benelux Nokia Networks. Broadband networks and services are a key step in the Internet revolution and this agreement underlines Nokia’s strength as a world leader in fast Internet access solutions.

We are delighted to extend our existing relationship with Nokia because of its track record in rolling out Atlantic’s SDSL equipment in Germany, as well as their experience in the US DSL market. says Simon Overgaag, Managing Director for Telepartner Plus, Atlantic’s subsidiary in the Netherlands.

He continued: Furthermore there is a natural fit between our two companies as we both focus on delivering broadband through DSL. The DSL access network is the basis on which Atlantic will shortly provide our customers with a combination of innovative voice, data and Internet services in the Netherlands. The latest integrated communication solutions from Atlantic will enable users to speed up their business applications and keep ahead of the competition.

Atlantic’s DSL rollout in The Netherlands commenced at the end of last year, and at 31 December, 17 exchanges were equipped with DSL technology.
