ATARI BRINGS OUT NEW COMPACT DISK PERIPHERAL

Atari Corp has followed Apple Computer in bringing out a Compact Disk peripheral that can also play records: the $600 unit stores up to 540Mb and connects to any Atari ST or Mega computer through the direct memory access port, which transfers data at up to 10M bits per second.
