In a strategic move to further standardise the use of the company’s Microsoft Corp Windows-based animation and multimedia technology, Motion Works Corp has signed a non-exclusive licensing agreement with Asymetrix Corp of Bellevue, Washington. In this agreement, Motion Works will receive a substantial cash payment upon execution and two further cash payments over the next four months, in return for licensing portions of the company’s Windows- based multimedia technology to Asymetrix for inclusion in their future products. This agreement also includes a three-year software maintenance fee schedule and upgrade policy to be paid by Asymetrix, and a 90-day option for Asymetrix to license a second technology from Motion Works on a non-exclusive basis for a pre-set cash amount and a three-year maintenance fee schedule and upgrade policy. Asymetrix is currently reviewing the second technology.
