Asus has launched a new gaming notebook G51J 3D, which is equipped with Nvidia 3D Vision and bundled with 3D glasses. It includes Nvidia GeForce GTX 260M with 1GB DDR3 video memory.

According to Asus, the new notebook measures 375mm x 265mm x 34.3~40.6mm, weighs around 3.3kg and comes with 15.6-inch HD LED backlight display. It is powered by an Intel Core i7-720QM processor 1.6GHz with turbo boost up to 2.8GHz and 64-bit Windows 7 operating system.

In addition, the notebook features Intel PM55 + ICH9M, built-in 2 megapixel camera, dual SATA HDD hard disk and DVD Super-multi / Blu-ray combo optical drive and includes four physical cores working in tandem with the operating system and applications. A pair of 3D Vision glasses coupled with a infra-red emitter offers stereoscopic images.

The company said that the EAX and CMSS audio technology included, delivers audio effects through bespoke Altec Lansing speakers. The EAX HD 4.0 audio technology enhances in-game environments and scenarios by providing corresponding three dimensional sound effects. It can provide up to 64 additional sound effects from its sound library, and produces spatial effects for more than 300 supported games.

Phil Eisler, general manager of 3D Vision business unit at Nvidia, said: Nvidia is excited about the world’s first 3D Vision notebook coming from ASUS. The ASUS G51J 3D notebook will set the standard by which gaming and 3D notebooks will be judged.
