Asus has launched a new multimedia netbook Eee PC 1201N, which features an Intel Atom 330 dual core processor and a Nvidia Ion graphics processor.
The company claims the new notebook to offer typing comfort through a full-sized ergonomic chiclet keyboard. The notebook comes 12.1-inch LED-backlit WXGA screen, Windows 7 and weighs around 1.46kg. It includes two-DIMM, dual-channel DDR memory architecture and a total of 750GB hybrid storage.
According to Asus, the new netbook comes preinstalled with ArcSoft SimHD, which upscales standard definition video content to high definition. SimHD, a plug-in for ArcSoft TotalMedia Theater enhances the quality of images and supports a range of file formats. It also features 250GB HDD and 500GB of online Asus WebStorage.
In addition, the new netbook features 802.11b/g/n connectivity, bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, 6-Cell 63Wh Li-ion battery and hi-definition audio codec. It comes with a choice of black, silver, blue and red colours.
