Asure Software, a provider of workforce management software, has reported a net loss of $1.54m, or $0.05 per basic and diluted share, for the second quarter ended January 31, 2009, compared to $1.48m, or $0.05 per basic and diluted share, for the same quarter of fiscal 2008.

For the second quarter of fiscal 2009, revenues were $2.42m, a decrease of 11% compared to $2.73m for the same quarter of fiscal 2008.

For the first six months of fiscal 2009, revenues were $5.21m, compared to $4.61m for the same period of fiscal 2008. Net loss was $3.08m, or $0.1 per basic and diluted share, compared to $2.4m, or $0.08 per basic and diluted share, for the same period of fiscal 2008.

Richard Snyder, chairman and CEO of Asure Software, said: In particular, new meeting room manager software-as-a-service (SaaS) bookings were up 119% over the first quarter, and up 126% year over year. In addition, during Q2 2009, we added nine Fortune 500 customers, processed our 10-millionth paystub with our iEmployee business and consummated our SaaS deal to date.
