ASTRONAUTS TURN TO VIDEOCONFERING TO COMMUNICATE WITH PLANET EARTH

Astronauts aboard the US Columbia space shuttle have been participating in the first two-way digital videoconferences in space. The crew has been using a videoconferencing system from Danvers, Massachusetts-based PictureTel Corp to communicate with scientists and NASA people on Earth.
