Astea International, a provider of service lifecycle management and mobility services, has launched a new version of Alliance, which includes new features and modules such as a user interface; a suite of workforce collaboration tools; a redesigned Studio development tool; third party and vendor management module; and support for ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library).
The company said that the Alliance 10.0 leverages Web 2.0 functionality and helps companies connect and work collaboratively with partners, vendors, suppliers, customers and employees. The redesigned user interface provides for personalised navigation and leverages Microsoft’s Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF). It supports tab management functionality, smart menus and a home page.
According to Astea, the third party and vendor management module provides the ability for third party vendors and subcontractors to access the system and enables them to participate in the process of service delivery. It connects the service provider with partners and third party technicians and eliminates duplicate data entry, communicating work order information and status updates, parts ordering and tracking.
In addtion, the company has developed new extensions to the Visual Studio 2008 environment that speed development. The new version of Alliance also supports ITIL framework with a focus on incident management, problem management, change management and service level management.
Zack Bergreen, CEO of Astea International, said: This release focuses on enabling and easily facilitating service organisations to confidently and effectively create, support and manage a truly virtual service delivery network for both financial and operational efficiencies.
