Ian Diery has not long been at Irvine, California-based AST Research Inc, but he has already quit to pursue other interests, leaving Young-Soo Kim from AST’s South Korean headquarters to take his place as president and chief executive. Kim was previously corporate vice-president at Samsung Electronics Co Ltd, which effectively runs AST Research these days.
