The views of the Semicondutor Industry Association appear to have prevailed over those of the more vociferous chip user members of the American Electronics Association and the two sides have agreed a joint approach to Washington to request a change in the fair market value pricing formula for memory chips under the US-Japan Semiconductor Trade Agreement : details of the new formula for determing fair market values were not disclosed.
