ASPECT’s PURCHASE OF TCS EXPANDS ITS CALL CENTRE OPERATIONS

By CBR Staff Writer

San Jose, California-based Aspect Telecommunications Corp will buy TCS Management Group Inc, which like Aspect specialises in the call centre market, from the UK-based retailer Next Group Plc, for $37.5m; $33m in cash, with the remainder in the form of a promissory note. Aspect said it hopes to close the deal this month, subject to the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act review. TCS, headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, specialises in workforce management software and call centre consulting services. According to Aspect, its new unit will be run as an independent subsidiary, and it says it anticipates no changes to the company’s management, facilities, sales channels, product lines or third-party relationships.
