Ashton-Tate Corp, Torrance, California has strengthened its database development team with the addition of key developers on two major products, Computer Corporation of America’s Adaplex and Cincom’s Spectra query language. Adaplex is the database management system written in Ada initially for the DEC VAX, and Arvola Chan was particularly involved in the distributed data management component; Michael Benson conceived, designed and implemented the Spectra query language for the Cincom’s Supra relational database.
