Ashton-Tate is now shipping dBase IV 1.1 in Chinese and, launched in Beijing, this is the first software product to qualify for protection under China’s copyright law: the product was developed by Ashton-Tate’s Asian Development Centre in Singapore with help from the China Computer System Engineering Corp – it will be distributed by China Computer System and by the Computing Centre, Academia Sinica.
