ASHTON TATE COMMENTS ON 3Q FIGURES

Commenting on its figures – third quarter net up 41% at $11.1m on sale sup 18% at $68m (CI No 813), Ashton-Tate Corp, Torrance, California cited solid sales of the MultiMate word processor and rapid acceptance of dBase Mac for its progress: the company is promising a new generation of dBase, more Mac products and a program that will enable dBase users to access data stored on IBM’s System 36 computer.
