ASG Software, a provider of business offerings for enterprises, has introduced metaGlossary 2.0 that provides governed and contextually rationalised vocabulary between business and IT.

The company claimed that its new offering helps make business terms available and helps actively capture the collective intelligence of knowledge workers across an entire organisation, without sacrificing history of change.

metaGlossary 2.0 allows users to access governed terms and associated context, by hovering their mouse over any given word regardless of the application or tool they are working with.

In addition, the new version allows to organise business terms in categories that are relevant to organisation; and designate users or groups as stewards in combination with workflow activities.

ASG senior vice president of business solutions Scott McCurdy said that by working with a special interest group of ASG customers which includes leaders in healthcare, financial services, online marketplace and more, the company built metaGlossary 2.0 to meet the needs of today’s fast-paced and complex organisations.
