By CBR Staff Writer

Ascom AG’s Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey-headquartered Ascom Timeplex Inc has enhanced its Synchrony ST-1000 multi-service network system with an Asynchronous Transfer Mode access device, dubbed the Data Internodal Link. The module will enable users to bridge and route their local area network and SNA data across Asynchronous Mode networks, according to Ascom. The initial interface supports 6.3Mbps and will be followed by a 155Mbps/52Mbps interface in 1996. Availability and price are to be announced.
