ASCII TO CONVERT SOFTWARE TO RUN ON AX AT-ALIKE MACHINES

By CBR Staff Writer

Ascii Corp plans to convert all its widely-used software for the NEC PC9801 series to run on machines built to the AX AT-alike standard: the packages include its Card 2 database software, and Candy 3 graphics software; ASCII has been member of the AX Conference since the latter was formed, and its move is expected to lead to a string of other developers following its example which could start to put a crimp in NEC’s sales.
