ASCII Corp, the leading software development and publishing company, is to set up a multimedia research laboratory in Tokyo: the space for rent will include a studio for tenants that want to work in multimedia development, and also a hub for use of the JCSAT satellite transponder, with a 15 meter parabola antenna; ASCII is also planning to set up similar multimedia laboratories in the US and Europe.
