The big and ambitious ASCII Corp software and publishing empire is to put its semiconductor marketing subsidiary into a 50-50 joint venture with Mitsui & Co subsidiary Mitsui Bussan Electronics Sales under the ASCII Semiconductor Corp name: the new company will sell US microprocessors and ASICs imported by Mitsui and large-scale integrated circuits fabricated by ASCII, and the first year sales target is $65m, rising to $153m within five years.
