Microsoft Corp appears to being changing its tune on just exactly what NT is. At a recent tete-a-tete with analysts and the press, Windows NT product manager Dwayne Walker said that although NT can be used on a server, it was first and foremost a desktop operating system. It seems the company doesn’t want it competing with LAN Manager.
