That’s why everyone and their brother, Digital Equipment Corp, Hewlett-Packard and Sun Microsystems Inc, are all crowding into the week of November 10 for their major launches, with the added expectation of getting coverage at Comdex Fall in Las Vegas the following week. Solaris SMP is the fully multi-threaded implementation of its Unix SunSoft promised its independent software vendors to the sound of blasting disco music a year ago in September.
