Unisys Corp still has a sizeable user base among UK building societies and banks, but unfortunately for the company, the business is split almost evenly between 1100-2200 users and A-series users. It is the latter side of the house that is celebrating this week with the news that the Alliance & Leicester Building Society wants an A17 to expand its Hove installation and the Chelsea Building Society wants an A16 dual processor to run the Unisys Financial Services System mortgage application. The two orders are together worth $7.5m.
