Amdahl Corp has finally confirmed that it is to use Sun Microsystems Inc Sparc RISC microprocessors in future machines that are being designed to run the firm’s UTS Unix. Amdahl is expected to use the Spabcs to build a scientific-oriented Unix mainframe.
