ArtistScope, a provider of software that protects the integrity of images displayed on the web and in other electronic media, has launched CopySafe and DRM (digital rights management) software that provides secure copy protection even from Printscreen and screen capture.

Combined with ArtistScope’s DRM technology, users can now have a secure document protection, where even if your document falls into the hands of an unauthorised user, one who has not paid for the privilege, then they will not be able to open it.

The ArtistScope PDF offering and DRM as the author of the document, user can change a document’s properties at any time with immediate effect over all documents, even those that have already been downloaded.

The company claims user can update the document setting at control panel for immediate effect, if the document can no longer be printed or if the user wants to revoke a user’s previleges.

The ArtistScope DRM enables users to control who can open a document, who can print a document and even how many times a document can be opened or printed, the company said.

Users can even set expiry date, where it cannot be foiled in the usual manner by turning back a computer’s clock, because it can use an online timeserver

Almost any type of file can be converted to PDF and CopySafe PDF Protector can then encrypt it for the most secure copy protection with/without DRM applied, the company claims.

ArtistScope also provides a ready to use online service for DRM validation where users can simply upload DRM documents and manage subscriptions straight away.
