ARTISOFT TO PROVIDE 32-BIT NETWORKING FOR WINDOWS NT 4.0

By CBR Staff Writer

Tucson, Arizona-based Artisoft Inc has announced plans to provide 32-bit networking, personal computer communications and computer telephony systems for Windows NT 4.0 from the end of this year. First will be a Windows NT version of the LANtastic networking software, to be followed by an enhanced version of the firm’s INSYNC CoSession Remote remote control software, designed to give users greater flexibility in how they transfer files and access information remotely. Visual Voice, Artisoft’s telephony software tool kit, already supports Windows NT 3.51. Last March, the company announced the release of Visual Voice Pro v3.0 for Windows NT and Windows95. A 32-bit ActiveX control version of the Visual Voice telephony software tool kit, Visual Voice Pro, is designed to utilize the pre-emptive multi-tasking of Windows NT. To this end, it is claimed to support more than 72 simultaneous phone line connections per personal computer.
