Tucson, Arizona-based Artisoft Inc has licensed NetBEUI transport layer protocols from Microsoft Corp, and says that it will provide them free to LANtastic 6.0 network operating system users. By incorporating the protocols, LANtastic users will be able to access Server Message Block-based systems for file and print services. In addition, Artisoft has announced its intention to support Microsoft’s Chicago – Windows 4. Artisoft also reports that its NodeRunner/SI 2000/C, 2000/T and 2000/A Ethernet adaptors have now been certified as NetWare Tested and Approved.
