Arthur Young (IES) Ltd has announced a link between the its own IES Information Engineering Workbench and the Micro Focus Plc Cobol Workbench: pitched at IBM mainframe users, the link enables the entire system development cycle to be carried out on the MS DOS micro; using the planning, analysis and design workstations developers can either invoke IEW’s proprietary Gamma and generate all the source code for the application, or they can choose to use MS-DOS products to work directly with the Cobol Workbench when writing the system.
