ARTHUR YOUNG AND ERNST & WHINNEY TO MERGE

Arthur Young and Ernst & Whinney will announce plans to merge to create the world’s largest accountfirm any day now, the New York Times believes: the combined firm, which will be a major player in systems integration and computer consultancy, will have an annual turnover of some $4,300m or so.
