Melville, New York-based Arrow Electronics Inc agreed in principal to buy three electronics distribution companies in Europe: Arrow will augment its UK operations by acquiring Microprocessor & Memory Distribution Ltd and enter Spain and Portugal by taking a majority stake in Amitron SA and the ATD Group; the companies will add $75m a year to Arrow’s consolidated sales, to take the annual sales for its European units and affiliates to $750m.
