Sunnyvale, California-based Arix Corp was thought to have vanished two or three years ago, but the former Arete Systems Inc is still just alive, but still in trouble – it says its Arix Computer Corp unit was notified by Concord Growth Corp of Palo Alto, its primary source of funding, that it is in default of some loan agreements for lack of timely payment on the principal; it is seeking new money, but in the meantime, all but a core of Arix Computer staff have been laid off.
