At SunWorld this week the Sparcsystems builder Aries Research Inc will announce its deal with Salem, New Hampshire-based Sparcsystems integrator Workstation Technologies Inc to manufacture, market and sell co-branded Marixx Sparcsystems. Aries has struck the deal because it wants to concentrate full-time on developing its core technology. It will be showing off its Sparcstation-20 compatible workstation, the Marixx SS-dt with 24-bit SX graphics, configured with a Viking 61V processor module and boasting 98.0 SPECint 92 and 107.0 SPECfp 92. Prices start at $14,400.
