The Argentine judge probing the bribery scandal involving IBM Corp (CI No 2,870) has now asked for an investigation into his own role in the case to clear his name. Judge Adolfo Bagnasco made the request in response to IBM’s apparently successful appeal for a new judicial inquiry into allegations that it overcharged one of the state banks by as much as $120m. He wants the inquiry to clear up what was said about him at the appeal proceedings, a court official told Reuter.
