Ardsley Advisory Partners switches to Akonix for instant messaging

Ardsley Advisory Partners has announced it is to utilize Akonix L7 Enterprise to provide complete compliance, security and policy enforcement for employee instant messaging use across its enterprise.

By CBR Staff Writer

The firm said its employees prefer instant messaging (IM) over other communications methods due to its ability to collaborate simultaneously with multiple co-workers and contacts in real-time.

Ardsley selected Akonix L7 Enterprise for its comprehensive support because it said it meets Ardsley’s stringent IM compliance, management and security needs.

Some of the key advantages that led to Ardsley’s selection of Akonix include: logging, monitoring and archiving across public IM systems, ensuring regulatory and legal compliance for all IM use from a single console.

Other advantages include: the ability to retain instant messages in the absence of a destination database; a flexible, scalable policy management system, providing for immediate needs as well as future requirements as IM use grows; and secure integration with Novell eDirectory to simplify user management.
