Ardent Computer Ltd, Milton Keynes, has sold two Titan graphics supercomputers to the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology – the first in the Department of Mechanical Engineering for computational fluid dynamics, and the second in the Department of Chemical Engineering, where it will also be used for molecular modelling, dynamic simulation and image processing: in the future, the systems will be linked via Ethernet to the Manchester Computer Centre.
