The software was developed as part of an OEM deal with Temtec, a Dutch-based developer of self-service analysis and reporting software.
The software is part of arcplan’s dynaSight 4.1 analytic develop platform and incorporates Temtec’s Executive Viewer application which taps into multidimensional (OLAP) stores like Microsoft Analysis Services, SAP Business Information Warehouse (BW), Hyperion Essbase, IBM DB2 OLAP, and Applix TM1.
DynaViewer works with all these systems except SAP BW, which is expected to be added later this year.
Officials at Dusseldorf-based arcplan say dynaViewer extends dynaSight’s guided analysis capabilities to create unstructured views of data without forcing uses to launch into a new application of copy over query logic.
