Archwave, a provider of semiconductor and software for professional audio connectivity, has extended its Bebob Software Development Kit (SDK) with the launch of USB Stick Recording offering.

The Bebob SDK enables multi-track recording to USB storage devices where computer connectivity is not always practical or available.

The Bebob SDK together with the DM1500E Audio Processor forms a complete system-on-a-chip (SoC) offering that combines both USB recording and USB Audio / Firewire connectivity into an integrated, single-chip design.

In addition, it provides a complete platform for future PC connectivity requirements that supports both USB audio recording, streaming, and Firewire connectivity.

Archwave chief technology officer Rolf Koch said the new addition to their Bebob SDK not only serves multiple applications, but enables them to offer more than just a stand-alone USB / Firewire connectivity silicon offering.

The Bebob SDK provides recording of up to 16 channels directly to a USB memory stick or hard drive allowing of up to 8 hours recording on 32GB USB Stick and over 100 hours recording on a 500GB USB Hard Drive.
