Archive Corp, Costa Mesa, California has advised Cipher Data Products Inc it is prepared to up its offer for the San Diego company to $8.25 a share if Cipher will negotiate a mutually acceptable merger agreement and give its full support; Archive also said that the trial date for patent litigation between the two had been put back to October 2.
