Following acquisition of Cipher Data Products, Archive Corp, Costa Mesa, California is cutting 108 jobs from the combined 3,300 payroll. The OEM products division will now add Cipher 5.25 cartridge drives, and Cipher Data will focus only on its original core business of half-inch reel-to-reel and cartridge tape drives. Irwin Magnetic will concentrate on quarter inch 3.5 tape drives.
