ARCHIVE CORP TO ADOPT THE DIGITAL DATA STORAGE FORMAT

Tape drive file management systems manufacturer Archive Corp of Costa Mesa, California is the first major tape drive manufacturer to join Hewlett-Packard Co and Sony Corp in the adoption of the Digital Data Storage Format: the proposed industry standard format was jointly developed by Hewlett-Packard and Sony with technical recommendations from Archive and other tape drive manufacturers and will be used in the design of future Digital Audio Tape computer tape drive products.
