Arbor Software Corp says it will be months before an integrated OLAP product strategy or roadmap is announced by new parent Hyperion Software Corp. In the meantime it’s pressing on with an existing development plan. Latest code to roll out of the labs is version 3.1 of its Wired for OLAP front-end reporting and analysis toolset which brings the functionality of its Windows and Java clients into lock step. The tools can be used with its Essbase OLAP Server, IBM’s DB2 OLAP Server implementation of Essbase and Microsoft’s Decision Support Services, or Plato. Prices are from $1,000 per seat. Essbase Objects 1.1 is a new version of Arbor’s ActiveX developer suite which again brings Windows and web client functionality into line. Prices are from $10,000 per Essbase server.
