Arbor Networks Names Colin Gray VP of EMEA Region

Expansion in EMEA set to continue for Abor with Gray's solution expertise

By Claire Vanner

Arbor Networks has announced Colin Gray as the company’s Vice President of the EMEA region.

In this role, Gray will be responsible for driving Arbor Networks’ sales and channel initiatives in EMEA as the company continues its expansion in the area.

Gray brings more than 25 years of technology sales and leadership experience with him and extensive knowledge of the EMEA market in both direct and indirect sales management.

He has held senior international and global VP roles at companies such as Network Associates, NetScreen, Ciphertrust, BigFix and ChangeBASE, and brings solutions expertise across security, applications delivery, infrastructure management and compliance to his new role at Arbor.

"This is a thrilling time to be joining Arbor Networks as EMEA is a dynamic region for the company and an area I’m excited to lead on behalf of the company," said Gray.

"Arbor brings an incredible mix of innovative technology and deep domain expertise to network operators who continue to battle the DDoS and advanced malware threats targeting them today. I’m looking forward to helping them expand even deeper into EMEA in the months and years ahead."

Arbor Networks has been active in EMEA with its platforms for protection against threat such as botnets and DDoS attacks for more than a decade.

Its customers include many of the region’s leading network operators. In the past quarter alone, Arbor has announced deployments at Liquid Telecom, Ooredoo, Bezeq International, and depulsio.

Colin Doherty, President of Arbor Networks, said: "Arbor has seen rapid growth in EMEA among service providers, mobile operators and enterprise organisations, as all are dealing with the ever-growing DDoS threat.

"However, we’ve seen a recent uptick among hosting providers where the threat of DDoS is an incredible concern given the multi-tenant nature of their business model, where one attack against a hosting provider can result in a catastrophic domino effect."
