The London Court of International Arbitration made a $22.3m award, plus interest, againsed London’s General Electric Co Plc; the arbitrators found that collaboration agreements with Hughes Aircraft Co had been breached as a result of the acquisition of Ferranti Defence Systems Group and the subsequent award to GEC Ferranti Systems Ltd of the development contract for the European Fighter Aircraft radar.
