APRICOT TO BID FOR NMW COMPUTERS?

After Tuesday’s results, NMW Computers Plc joins the ranks of the Stock Exchange’s walking wounded, and that term is synonymous with bid candidate: with Apricot Computers Plc, emboldened by the near certainty that it will be able to report very healthy figures next month, looking ever more ambitious and hungry, and wanting to be one of the leading players in the financial services end of the market, that is one clear direction from which a bid might come – but Apricot might well find that the ractions of Quotient Group Plc, nee CCF Group are even more so; it may also consider the ravaged – by – a – bad – acquisition Sherwood Computer Services Plc worth a look -and it still has nearly 20% of DDT Plc…
